Chapter 5: It Proves How Much You Know Someone

*Sorry If This Chapter is so long. There was so much that I had to put in. I hope you enjoy this chapter though.

When I got to work this Morning Jocelyn was already typing away on her computer, she didn’t even stop or look up as if she knew that it was me. My mind wanted to say good morning while my heart said to just go to you desk but my mind won in this war.

Kristal- Okay Good. But that wasn’t the real reason for this private meeting with you. So you see this Friday I have to be at an Fashion Show in Paris and I don’t have an babysitter for my girls, all the sitters that I call won’t return my call or they are busy on Friday so I need an babysitter for Friday and Saturday.

So What about your husband?

Kristal- He will be leaving for New York on Wednesday to do a scene and will be getting back on Saturday night so when he comes you can leave then.

Okay. So what will I need to do?

Kristal- Well on Thursday I could give you a tour of the house and the room that you will be staying in. Most likely all you have to do is cook for the girls make sure they go to bed at an good time, walk the dog feed the dog and give her a bath and please don’t let the girls go out or anything.

So I have to take care of your dog too? Does she bite?

Kristal- Haha oh no. My dog. She is quite friendly. And I also will be paying you $2,000 for house sitting and all. I will be adding that to your pay check for the week. And Mayra. This job I’m trusting you with it because I wouldn’t just give this job to anyone to take care of my kids and my house so I hope that you will take care of my home and treat it as your own.

Yes Ms. McArthur I will treat your home as it is my own.

Kristal- Now My girls can be quite bossy and rude so don’t let them over power you or anything. If they are getting too out of hand tell them that I will be cutting their allowance to 750 a week.

*In My Head* These Girls get more than $750 a week for allowance? I barely got $5 a week for allowance.*

Oh Look Emmanuel is calling me.

Turns out that I passed out as soon as Emmanuel and my session was over.

Emmanuel wasn’t pretty bad. He was better than my ex boyfriend now that was a fact, or maybe he just seemed that good because I was drunk. I felt safe with Emmanuel but there was something telling me not to give my all into him and I couldn’t tell what it was. We spent that night in his Hotel room with me in his arms. I couldn’t even get myself up for work in the morning I was just so hung over but today Ms. McArthur was going to give me a tour of her house so I couldn’t miss that.

Kristal- What took you so long? I was going to get Jocelyn to call you, and by the way you are late.

I know. I’m so sorry I was so sleepy and I could barely get out of bed I’m so sorry.

Kristal- And Also your bathroom is downstairs so please don’t use any other bathrooms other than the one downstairs because you know The Help doesn’t get all the luxury as the Family like the 2 ply toilet paper and nice hot water and so on.

*In my head* If this woman calls me the Help ONE MORE TIME! I’m just going to tell her to find another nanny for these kids and why doesn’t the downstairs bathroom have hot warm?

Kristal- Well if you don’t have any questions you are free to look around the house and when you are done you can find me in the kitchen cause I’m quite thirsty.

Okay Ms. McArthur I won’t be long.

Okay so this is the twins room. It isn’t the cleanest room as if the Maid hasn’t really cleaned the room there has been dust accumulating from what it seems like about a month. And The Window it is so dirty and so many finger prints. I dread tomorrow to come for me to do all of this cleaning. Lets go see Ms. McArthur’s room.

Do These people NOT know how to make their own beds? I understand they have a maid and all but like come on make up your bed! It seems like someone likes green. It actually feels good to be wearing clothes that I own. I remember this dress, my mom bought this for me. Sigh I miss that lady.
